I'd never heard Kate Bush before, but I just listened to that video. It's very different from the sort of music that I normally listen to. I liked it for the most part, except I did think that the laughter with the chirping birds part in the middle went on for a little too long. Otherwise, it was very pretty. :-)
I think this song is best listened to in the context of her whole album, where you get more of a feel for the "sonic landscape" she is creating, and if you've heard some of her other stuff you come to appreciate her wacky playfulness and I guess allow her the indulgence of her strange ways. :) Aerial is a really, really cool album if you ever have the inclination to try something of hers. Quite surreal, calm, inspiring, and very feminine.
What kind of music do you tend to listen to? I bounce around all over the place but surreally feminine musicians like Tori Amos, Cocteau Twins, Vanessa Mae, and Suzanne Vega hold a special place in my heart.
